In a series of historical studies and real-life stories, the author makes a convincing, fact-backed case for how what appears to be, by conventional standards, a “disadvantage” could in reality turn into the seed of a very great advantage, benefit or edge – even leading to world-changing discoveries or heartwarming acts of defiance, courage and greatness.
Counter-intuitive, refreshingly mind-expanding and a fun, easy read just like Gladwell’s other popular books, David and Goliath gave me plenty of mental fodder to chew on, and even shifted a paradigm or two in the process of reading it.
